Marwell Zoo

Marwell Zoo is a 140-acre wildlife park located in Hampshire, England, home to hundreds of exotic and endangered species

Owned and operated by the conservation charity Marwell Wildlife, the zoo was established in 1972 and has since become a popular attraction, welcoming over 500,000 visitors annually

The zoo features a diverse collection of animals, including:

  • Endangered Amur tigers and leopards
  • Rothschild's giraffes
  • White rhinos
  • Humboldt penguins
  • Red pandas
  • Snow leopards
  • All three species of zebra

Visitors can explore various exhibits and experiences, such as:

  • The 'Energy for Life' Tropical House, an innovative and sustainable exhibit featuring free-flying birds and a Linne's two-toed sloth
  • A wallaby walkthrough experience
  • Animal walk-throughs and interactive exhibits
  • Adventure playgrounds, including a new inclusive okapi playground
  • A formal garden representing 16th and 17th-century styles

Marwell Zoo is committed to conservation, education, and sustainability. The organization has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development for its environmental efforts. The zoo engages with over 40,000 children and young people through conservation educational programs and runs field programs in the UK and Africa

Visitors can enjoy multiple catering outlets, a gift shop, and various amenities throughout the park

The zoo is open daily from 10 am, 363 days a year, with closing times and admission prices varying seasonally
